KUALA LUMPUR: India’s star men’s doubles duo, Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty, powered their way into the semifinals of the Malaysia Open on Friday with a determined performance.
The seventh-seeded pair triumphed over Malaysia’s Yew Sin Ong and Ee Yi Teo in a hard-fought quarterfinal match, securing a 26-24, 21-15 victory in just 49 minutes at the prestigious Super 1000 tournament.
Having finished as runners-up in the previous edition, Satwik and Chirag will now take on South Korea’s Won Ho Kim and Seung Jae Seo in the semifinal clash.
