tehchnology-news

Android’s Find My Device is a feature that helps you locate, lock, or erase your device remotely if it’s lost or stolen. It works by:

  1. Enabling Location Tracking: The device uses GPS, Wi-Fi, or cellular networks to report its location to Google.
  2. Internet Connectivity: The device must be connected to the internet for real-time location updates.
  3. Google Account Sync: It requires the user to log in with their Google account on the device.
  4. Remote Actions: Through the Find My Device website or app, users can:
    • Ring the device.
    • Lock it with a custom message or number.
    • Erase all data.

For the feature to work, it must be enabled in device settings under Security or Privacy.
